Why you should join as non-technical

Hey there! AEGEE NEEDS YOU!

AEGEE needs every motivated AEGEEan, no matter what is their skill level. Why is that, you wonder?

Because simply, there's plenty of things you could do, and that goes beyond coding.

PR

To have a functioning IT system is your right as a member of this cool organisation! PUNCH YOUR FRIENDS until they start contributing to the cause! I want every single AEGEEan to contribute, and they can either contribute by doing actively things, or by just passing on the message (i.e. punching other AEGEE friends).

Punching is a quite effective way for doing PR, however that's not the only one! You can also play it smart and convince other people to join because it's in their interest! Here's some good-to-know facts you can tell them, until they join. They are very actual since they are written by former employee of large multinational company, now startupper:

On the time issue

I'll never stress this enough: I don't ask anybody *time*, I ask for contribution. A contribution can also be **15 minutes** long, say, you had an idea on a small thing (correcting a documentation paper, e.g.) and you carried it out - bam, done, smooth. Took away **15 minutes** of your time. Now imagine if 10 other people did the same, the total time that the project reaches is 2.5 hours (let's say per week). You think it's a little? Well maybe, but it's 2.5 hours more than nothing. A small improvement is better than no improvement.

On the skill issue

Don't worry about what you know now, get excited on what you'll know at the end of the journey! ITC is a thriving community made of curious people, they'll be helping you out for sure! You will gain unvaluable experience, and it's experience you can use while job-hunting!

On what it's worth
    • big resume points
    • eternal gratitude of a network of 10k+ students

This is a very short list summarising the info that I wrote here

Something else

Are you a PR ninja? Then help us in this crusade! With your help perhaps it won't last 100 years...
Suggest other ways to reach people, other than punching them or brainwashing them with these VERY AWESOME absolute truths.

Documentation stuff

"omg look at that engineer, he doesn't know how to write!"
If you think that sometimes the write-up is gibberish, then just correct it! Help improving documentation, add pictures of cats to the pages (engineers love cats), do whatever you feel it's the right thing to do.
Proofread stuff, propose changes, new way to structure information, anything that comes to your mind

Conclusion

So yeah, PLEASE GO AND SPREAD THE WORD!
