This guide explains what steps next are to be done to get rid of the former aegee.localname@gmail.com 

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go on the intranet and change the registered email address of the local.
    1. This is to make sure that the alias localname@aegee*.org* (automatically generated) goes to an email address that you will use.
  2. Check on the listserv's subscriber corner if that address is subscribed anywhere (BOARDINF-L probably)
  3. Keep the aegee.localname@gmail.com for a while, just because you never know who can contact you using an old email address.
  4. Finally, you can close the account (I would suggest in 8-10 months) by going here
